“Need a place to dispose of your fall yard waste?”
The City of Vergennes is a member of the Addison County Solid Waste Management District. The District accepts yard waste at no charge throughout the year at their Middlebury facility.
For convenience to our residents, we will open our “stump dump” for a one-day event. On Saturday morning, November 5 from 8 a.m. to noon, (same hours of the recycling center) you can bring your leaves, brush, branches, and yard plants to the “stump dump”. It is located behind the wastewater treatment plant at the end of Canal Street. A Public Works Department employee will be on staff to direct you to the disposal area.
